Fragments imply multiplicity and can be conveyed in various forms. My own participation in the art world, for example, constitutes me as a fragment of it.

So, for my first solo project, I thought about my own creative experiences and past artworks as inspiration, seeing them as fragments of my own beginnings. I realized that while beginnings are often thought of as a single point in time, my works evidenced many beginnings. My compositions seek to convey different ideas of inceptions, even as they could be based on a basic idea or a life event.

My process begins with the creation of studies using available materials which I will then also use to create the final pieces. I gather found objects and sculpt the epoxy by hand to make the sculptures. I pair each 3D piece with a painting directly referencing the sculpture to form a harmonious narrative between the two. I also use painting techniques to create additional elements.

To further complement the concept of fragments, I included paintings on paper. These paintings were done spontaneously as a miniseries within the whole exhibition.

These works are filled with personal symbolism, which I hope will help me find new ideas, and thereby form another fragment of a new beginning.
