As part of the 2nd If Trees Could Talk International Art Biennale, printmaker Marz Aglipay of Marz Today Studio gave a workshop for kids and their parents on the basics of printmaking and creating their own rubber stamps.

Participants made their own stamps based on CANVAS stories, including Elias and His Trees, Inang Kalikasan’s Bad Hair Day, I Am the Change in Climate Change, and more.

Marz Aglipay is a printmaker and writer-curator whose practice explores comfort and nostalgia in relation to consumerism. She works primarily with handmade stamps to chronicle everyday life. Her prints have been exhibited locally by the Association of Pinoyprintmakers and at institutions such as the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Art, and BenCab Museum, as well as internationally in Japan and Germany. Beyond her studio practice, Aglipay actively advocates for printmaking through exhibitions, workshops, and her traveling project, the Marzing Machine, which brings printmaking into public and community-based spaces.
